AIPM RegPM Certification

Employers are increasingly demanding that their Project Manager’s are recognised as professionals by their industry. The Australian Institute of Project Management is Australia’s peak PM industry body, and has a rigorous RegPM certification process. To be competitive in the workplace or when applying for that next position, your CV needs to be competitive. Obtaining a RegPM Certification provides that competitive advantage.

So what’s the difference between a Certification and a Qualification? A certification is an endorsement by your peers that you are a recognised practising professional currently delivering services within the project management field. A qualification can be obtained by anyone either new to project management or a seasoned project management professional. Typically a five day course and a number of assignments will provide sufficient evidence to obtain either a Certificate IV, Diploma or an Advanced Diploma qualification.

To become Certified, there are a number of pre-requiresites that need to be met before you come to us.

Firstly, you need to be a Member of the AIPM, go here to become a Member.

Next, you need to be enrolled in the RegPM process, go here to enrol in the RegPM Process.

Once you have received your AIPM payment receipt by email, contact us to continue your RegPM Process.

Typically we’ll meet with you to discuss the process, your experience to date and to set the ground rules for the assessment. We’ll then send you the AIPM Assessment Record Book for your completion. Once this document is completed you send it back to us. We’ll review it, and meet with you to conduct an audit of your Record Book. We’ll check each statement of evidence against each criterion to ensure that it supports your claim of competency.

When we’re satisfied that all is in order, we’ll prepare an Assessment Report and send this to the AIPM for their consideration. Once the AIPM is satisfied that you have met the requirements for Certification, they’ll send you the appropriate Certification Certificate.

If at any stage during the process it’s identified that you may need more evidence to meet a particular criteria, the process can be paused until such time as the evidence is obtained.

Our Certification Assessment fee is additional to the AIPM membership and RegPM application fees.
